Ballet Hispanico Presents Second Annual Inspiration Award to Marcos Rodriguez

Ballet Hispanico (www.ballethispanico.org), the foremost dance interpreter of Hispanic culture in the United States, presented Marcos Rodriguez, Managing Partner of Palladium Equity Partners, with an Inspiration Award for his dedication and leadership to promoting Hispanic culture in the United States. The award was presented at Ballet Hispanico’s annual fundraising gala in New York City.

Ballet Hispanico’s 2007 gala, titled A Night at the Palladium, honored Rodriguez and Palladium Equity Partners for their support of the advancement of Hispanic cultural institutions. The décor was a re-creation of the atmosphere of the legendary Palladium Ballroom in New York City where throughout the 1950’s, it was renowned as home of “The Big Three” — Machito, Tito Puente and Tito Rodriguez — and alive every night with the excitement of Latin music and dance.

“We are thrilled to honor Marcos Rodriguez with this second annual Inspiration Award,” stated Tina Ramirez, Artistic Director, Ballet Hispanico. “His commitment to the advancement of Hispanics and Hispanic culture in this country is inspiring and very much in tune with Ballet Hispanico’s own commitment to this vibrant and ever-growing community.”
